Personality
The moment you meet Mint, it is easy to tell that she is not all there. Due to amnesia, she often acts dazed and confused, especially if she is in a new environment. It sometimes takes her a while to get used to new things and people, and the time it takes varies depending on what or who it is. Mint has moments were she will have trouble remembering who people she met recently are or how to do something. It's during these times that a confused, almost frustrated, look will cross over her face as she stares at someone or something.
Despite all of this, Mint has been able to retain her childlike innocence. She tries to look on the bright side of life almost constantly, trying to keep a smile on her face whenever possible. She sometimes uses this innocence to get herself out of trouble, though it doesn't always work. The air around her is often times calming, and it's rare to feel a darker aura around her. Mint keeps up a cheerful demeanor, and she is rather polite to those she meets. She is awkward around new people, though, once she is more comfortable around them, she opens up and becomes her 'usual' self. Until then, she might become a bit clumsy, sputter and apologize over everything, and flail her arms around as she tries, and fails, at describing something to another person.
Not even Mint can keep up the ball of happiness act forever. Even she gets down or mad, and girls are pretty scary when mad. Because of her looks, it is hard to find her as intimidating in the slightest bit, but her bite is sometimes harder than her bark. She is rather good at keeping her true emotions hidden from the rest of the world, and her anger is usually masked by the sweet smile that promises a gory demise. Not that she could ever kill or something, but nobody knows what might happen if she decides to let her emotions get the best of her. Mint's trust in people is actually very limited, and it takes a while before she can actually find herself trusting someone. She often lets first impressions rule her judgement on a person, and finding any reason to distrust them will stick with her forever.

History
Mint's origin seems normal to begin with. Her parents were in love, yet they faced trials. These trials were not like the usual parents hate each other sort of deal. No, these trials were that of illness and the eventual curse that haunted their lives. Little Mint's birth into the Black family was one to rejoice about, though the cause for alarm came when she did not age like that of the average child. They soon found out that she was not like the average child for, you see, she inherited the so-called immortality of her father, minus the added side effects. Never once has she had to run off to the place of oasis she had heard her parents murmuring about. Never once has she faced death on a certain day each year. She had been born free of the curse of the oasis, though one might call it a curse to be stuck in the body of an infant when children are supposed to be starting school. Mint, however, saw this as more time to play and less time to worry.
The start of her long life was an easy one. She saw no reason to fear the world or to worry about anything. It wasn't until she was well into her fifties and only in the body of a preteen that she found reason to fear the world around her. A burglar broke into the house, killing her mother who tried to shield her daughter. Mint was then targeted, and her injuries should have killed her. Instead, she was only left unconscious and on the brink of death. Her father, however, did not know this, and the little girl was placed inside a coffin meant for a child. While they were tending to her mother's grave, she woke up. Dazed, confused, and wondering where she was and why it was so dark, Mint pushed open the coffin just enough to squeeze her small body through. Nobody noticed her as she toddled off, blinded by the bright light of day. The coffin was lowered into the ground, lightened considerably by the lack of her presence.
Mint did not get too far in her dazed traveling before she collapsed on the ground in a coughing fit. It was then that she witnessed a rare, chance encounter with a Pokemon of legend: Celebi. This "chance encounter" happened to be more or less fated as the Celebi had been seeking for the girl. The time traveling Pokemon healed as much of the girl's wounds as it could, making sure that she was fit for travel before taking both of them into the future. The Celebi stayed around the now-unconscious girl's body until a professor--Cedar--found the two of them. The Pokemon circled around the humans before disappearing to Arceus knows where.
The moment Mint woke up, she could remember absolutely nothing of her past. The only thing she could remember was her first name. Mere moments later, she met a man--Professor Maple--who coaxed the name out of her. Mint. What about a last name? Surely she needed one of those. The girl looked around for a moment before reaching a conclusion (or just the first color she saw): White. Mint White. Yes, that sounded like a fine name for the girl. The next two years that passed were spent with Professor Maple. She followed the man around like a shadow during those years, and she rarely left his side. However, she was soon allowed her own Pokemon, and she was allowed to head out on a journey. Deciding she needed a goal to reach, she figured that she could try to figure out what her past was like.
